Starting Out
Inquirers Class: New Attenders may explore the Faith and Practice, testimonies and history of Quakerism. Classes meet for six weekly sessions in fall, winter and spring.
Personal Enrichment
Clearness Committees: Anyone facing a personal problem or crisis may ask to search for solutions with a small group of Friends.
Friends Senior Center: Sponsors a slide show and discussion on Wednesday afternoons, and conducts occasional day trips.
Spiritual Friendships/Formation Program: Encourages and supports individuals who meet in groups and pairs to consider spiritual issues in their lives. Participants periodically gather as a larger group to share experiences and plan programs for nurture.
Spiritual Journeys Meditation Group: Meets monthly for meditation and worship sharing to support its members on their spiritual journeys. Spring and fall retreats are offered.
Potluck Sunday Meals: On Monthly Meeting Days (second Sunday September - June; third Sunday in July) and on any fifth Sunday, a potluck lunch is held at 11:45 AM in the Meeting House Assembly Room. Please join us.
Young Adult Friends: For those aged approximately 18-40. Activities include speakers, discussions and worship sharing; and social times - hiking, dancing, and volunteer opportunities. A potluck lunch is held at the Meetinghouse on the third Sunday of each month.
Older Adult Friends: Welcomes Meeting members and attenders who are 41 years old and up. This group gathers to enjoy social, service and spiritual activities together. Singles and couples are welcome. The group meets every second week on Friday evening at 7:30 PM in Quaker House Living Room for a potluck and discussion. Other activities are planned as Way opens.
Friends Outdoors
Camp Catoctin Retreats: FMW Members and attenders convene twice each year for week-end retreats at a Quaker campsite in the Maryland hills, usually in spring and fall.
Friends Wilderness Center Opportunities for worship sharing, study and nature activities in the not-so-distant West Virginia wilderness. The Niles cabin is also available for overnights
